The Ashkum ball diamond is located across the street from the Ashkum Early Literacy Center. The ball diamond is owned by the village and is operated by the Ashkum Athletic Association.
During the summer, the diamond is used by children of all ages from Pee-Wee to Pony League for the boys and Pee-Wee through high school for the girls.
While the diamond is used by all age groups, the outfield fence is at a distance acceptable for Pony League play. Bases are set at both Pony League and Little League/softball distances.
There is a batting cage along the left field side of the field for our teams to use for practice. A concession stand serving a full line of ballpark foods is open on game nights. The field also includes enclosed dugouts with a fenced in on-deck area for safety and an electronic scoreboard in centerfield.
During the Ashkum Homecoming, the field is also used for an adult slow-pitch softball tournament feature teams from the area.
